PHILADELPHIA LIVE ARTS FESTIVAL/PHILLY FRINGE
– Aug. 29-Sept. 13, at various locations in historic Old City. The Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe bring some of the newest, most innovative players on the international contemporary arts scene to Philly – cutting-edge, boundary-breaking performing arts events. While some artists are local, many come from other parts of the US, and from around the world.

GREENFEST PHILLY – Sept. 7, at 2nd & South Streets. GreenFest Philly is a one-day street fair FREE to the public. Over 200 exhibitors and 20,000 people are expected at the area's largest environmental event. The event features vegetarian food, live music, kids activities, bicycle valet, yoga, and local produce.

LIBERTY MEDAL PRESENTATION
– Sept. 18, at the National Constitution Center. The 2008 Liberty Medal will be awarded to Mikhail S. Gorbachev for his historic leadership that helped end the Cold War. The Liberty Medal annually honors an individual or an organization from anywhere in the world that has demonstrated leadership and vision in the pursuit of liberty of conscience or freedom from oppression, ignorance, or deprivation.

MS150 BIKE TOUR – Sept. 27 & 28. Next to PATCO, this is the best ride in South Jersey. Thousands of cyclists will enjoy a scenic bike ride through the Pine Barrens to the Jersey Shore to benefit those with multiple sclerosis. Last year thousands of bikers raised over $5 million. The Start and Finish are at PATCO's Woodcrest station. Parking will be limited at the station from Friday, Sept. 26 until Sunday, Sept. 28, 5:00 p.m.

CAMPUS PHILLY KICKOFF

SIPPIN' BY THE RIVER – Sept. 28, at Penn's Landing's Festival Pier. Hop on the train and head to the river for this popular outdoor festival. Highlights are world-famous wines and beers, food sampling, cooking demos, gourmet cuisine from area restaurants and live music from the band Dame.

THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE – America's oldest parade of its kind will stroll down Market Street to the Art Museum on Nov. 27. The parade celebrates the start of the holiday season and will feature elaborate floats, celebrities, musicians, giant balloons, performers and the first glimpse of Santa Claus.

YULETIDE RIDE – It's lovely weather for a train ride together with you! Bring the kids and your camera and take a magical train ride with Santa Claus Saturday, Nov. 29 from Woodcrest Station in Cherry Hill to Center City Philadelphia.  Enjoy live music, clowns, balloons, and more beginning at 9 a.m.  NEW THIS YEAR - TWO TRAINS!  The Yuletide Ride is free one way when boarding at Woodcrest. Return trip tickets for passengers ages 5 and up will be available.
